The Hardanger region is filled with spectacular attractions and viewpoints. Most of them only visited by tourists during the main season in Summer. But the attractions are just as impressive during the winter season. Come and explore our spectacular nature during winter.
Meetup is at 10.00. We start with walking the gravel road to Kinso Powerplant and Tveitafossen/first waterfall. Depending on the conditions we put on the snowshoes, and start walk the path up to Nyastølsfossen. The scenery and waterfalls covered with blueice will simply take your breath away.
At Nykkjesøyfossen/third waterfall we have lunch. This is the normal ending point, but on request, we have time, and the group feels in good shape, we add the extra 1.5 hours hike up to Søtefoss/forth watefall.
For the return we walk the gravelled mountain road/not the path back to the starting point.

In Norway there is a saying that “There are no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing”. Sometimes the bad weather turns out to be the most special: It is more mysterious, it creates a spectacular light play between the sun, clouds and rain, it makes you feel alive.
The weather here on the west coast changes fast and therefore we only rely on the weather forecast 1-2 days ahead of the tour. We hope for the best but prepare for the worst conditions. A good tip is to use the onion look: layers that can easily be taken on and off to adjust your temperature.
If the “bad weather” is so bad that we consider it as dangerous we cancel the tours. We will inform you in case of cancellation. Please read our cancellation policies for more information.
Make sure you have extra clothes in the backpack so you can adjust whenever you need it to be comfortable both when biking and hiking.
