Are you yearning for an exciting adventure with a huge “wow” factor? Trolltunga Active invites you to hike with plenty of air, framed by a beautiful nature scenery.
Meetup at the Trollunga Active Base in Skjeggedal at either 09.00 or 15.00. The guide will give out the zipline gear needed for the adventure.
The tour starts with bicycling 7 km along Ringedalsvatnet lake - a scenic tour with a lot if history; in the period 1850-1900, the area in the Ringedalen was one of the mostpopular tourist areas in northern Europe, the tourists were transported by horse / cart up Tyssedal, and then byboat in Ringedalsvatnet, to the waterfalls Tyssestrengene and Ringedalsvatnet.
In the period 1910-1918 Ringedalsdemningen was built, 500 m long and 30 m high, pre-blended with about 100,000 hand-chiseled granite blocks. And the valley was turned into a 'hydropower plant factroy'. All of this history is framed by a beautiful scenery.
After biking, we hike 500 metres uphill to enter the first of the Trolltunga Ziplines.
Here we will have a lunch break before you embark on a ride through the air on three ziplines, a total length of 600 metres. The zip lines bring you back down towards the lake, around 200 metres below. We can promise a fun and exciting day in stunning scenery!
The tour ends with returning the 7 km on the bike.
If you want to combine the hike to Trolltunga with more action the next day, this tour is perfect for you! Trolltunga Ziplines will give you an exciting day together with family or friends.

In Norway there is a saying that “There are no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing”. Sometimes the bad weather turns out to be the most special: It is more mysterious, it creates a spectacular light play between the sun, clouds and rain, it makes you feel alive.
The weather here on the west coast changes fast and therefore we only rely on the weather forecast 1-2 days ahead of the tour. We hope for the best but prepare for the worst conditions. A good tip is to use the onion look: layers that can easily be taken on and off to adjust your temperature.
If the “bad weather” is so bad that we consider it as dangerous we cancel the tours. We will inform you in case of cancellation. Please read our cancellation policies for more information.
If rain and low temperatures are forecasted bring more warm layers. Please note that all items must be inside the backpack, or safely attached. No loose items on the outside of the backpack.
